Womens hockey team beat Korea

The New Zealand women's hockey team has beaten Korea 4-1 in the first of their series in Auckland.

Black Sticks coach Mark Hager says it was great to have a win to start the series, the combinations weren't always quite there, we need to continue to work on structures and value our possession more in the front third.

Samantha Harrison, Clarissa Eshuis, Cathryn Finlayson and Krystal Forgesson scored for New Zealand.

The Black Sticks Women will play their second of five tests against Korea on Tuesday in Whangarei.
