Injured Morgan out of World Cup

England's hopes for the Cricket World Cup have suffered a major setback.

Their leading one day batsman Eoin Morgan has been ruled out of the tournament with a broken finger that requires surgery.

The England coach Andy Flower says Morgan suffered the injury in the fourth one day match in Australia, and although he played in the next two games, subsequent medical examination revealed a cracked bone.

Morgan will be replaced in the World Cup squad by Ravi Bopara.
