The New Zealand women's hockey team has won their series against korea after winning the third test 2-1 in Whangarei.
The Black Sticks weren't convincing, but thanks to good defense and some exceptional saves from goalkeeper Sally Rutherford, they won the match and take the series 3-nil.
Coach Mark Hager says the game was a big improvement on Tuesday night's second test performance, they were much better at holding possession but they need to be more consistent.
However he says it was a disappointing last ten minutes which allowed Korea back into the game.
Stacey Michelsen and Anita Punt scored the goals for New Zealand.
The fourth and fifth games in the series will be played this weekend at Lloyd Elsmore Park in Pakuranga.
