Teenage New Zealand amateur golf star Cecilia Cho fired a superb five-under par 67 to move to a share of 16th place after two rounds of the ANZ Ladies Masters on the Gold Coast yesterday.

The 16 year old Aucklander mixed six birdies with one dropped shot in an outstanding display on another day of hot scoring at Royal Pines Resort.

She is joined by Wellington professional Sarah Nicholson as the only New Zealanders to make the cut while Cho has drawn level with Australia's Minjee Lee in the battle for leading amateur honours.

Cho, the New Zealand amateur champion, is following on from fellow New Zealand academy team-mate Lydia Ko who finished runner-up in the New South Wales Open and tied for 12th in the Australian Open last week.
