Indian cricket grounds given all-clear

The head of cricket's governing body says the Kolkata and Mumbai grounds have been given the final clearance to stage World Cup matches after concerns about their readiness.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) chief executive Haroon Lorgat says the grounds are ready, meaning only one match, India's fixture with England on February the 27th, had to be switched from Kolkata's Eden Gardens to Bangalore.

Mumbai has been given the go-ahead to stage the final on April the 2nd as well as two other group-stage fixtures.

A report from the ICC's World Cup inspection team is expected on Wednesday to confirm Lorgat's comments.
