Tana to start for Chiefs

5:56 pm on 17 February 2011

The Chiefs coach Ian Foster says he's not sure how much time he'll get out of Tana Umaga after naming him to start in their Super Rugby opener against the ACT Brumbies in Canberra on Saturday night.

37-year-old Umaga, who impressed with Counties Manukau in the NPC in his return to New Zealand rugby after a 3 year overseas, will play outside Stephen Donald.

After 122 Super matches for the Hurricanes, Umaga will don the Chiefs jersey for the first time in a competitive match and coach Ian Foster it was best to get him involved straight away....

Richard Kahui wasn't considered because of injury along with Hikawera Elliot, Isaac Ross, Colin Bourke and Mike Delany.

Number eight Fritz Lee will be making his Super Rugby debut.
