F1 season opener could be scrubbed next week

Formula One's commercial supremo Bernie Ecclestone says the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix on March 13 may be called off as early as next week due to civil unrest in the country.

Ecclestone says they'll probably make a decision next Tuesday or Wednesday, and with a record 20 races scheduled for this year, the calendar won't be shuffled round if the Bahrain grand prix is cancelled.
