The South African Rugby Union has written to the New Zealand Rugby Union to express its condolences and offer solidarity with New Zealanders and their rugby community following the devastating earthquake in Christchurch.
Mr Oregan Hoskins, president of SARU, contacted Mr John Surgeon, president of the NZRU to offer any support SARU could render at this terrible time.
Mr Hoskins says the SARU will be guided in due course by the NZRU and IRB if the tragedy should have any ramifications for rugby events.
