New Zealand's Olympic silver medalist Nick Willis will still receive his medal despite this weekend's international track meeting at QE II Park in Christchurch being cancelled because of the earthquake.
Instead a track meet to raise funds for victims of the earthquake will be held at Newtown Park in Wellington, with Willis also being presented with his new medal.
Willis who finished third in the 1500m at the Beijing Olympics two and a half years ago was promoted to second when the winner was stripped of his title for failing a dope test.
