10:50 am on 24 February 2011

Two members of the New Zealand cricket team's support staff have flown home from the World Cup in India, to be with family after their homes were badly damaged by the Christchurch earthquake.

The Black Caps manager Dave Currie says physiotherapist Dayle Shackel and trainer Bryan Stronach are returning to New Zealand.

Currie says Stronach has returned to be with his pregnant wife, while Shackel's returning to support his family with both family homes having been extensively damaged.

The New Zealand flag will fly at half mast when the Black Caps play defending champions Australia in their pool match tomorrow in Nagpur.
