Sonny Bill Williams is expected to start for the Crusaders against a New South Wales team that will be missing star Berrick Barnes in Friday's Super Rugby clash in Nelson.
Waratahs medical staff have given fly half Barnes the week off after he suffered a head knock in last Saturday's commanding 30-6 win over the Reds.
His place will be taken by the experienced Daniel Halangahu.
Williams has been sidelined with a leg injury but Crusaders management say he trained impressively on Monday and he's expected to make his Super Rugby debut.
The Crusaders were forced to move their home ground to Trafalgar Park due to damage at Christchurch's AMI Stadium.
The Crusaders name their team this morning.
