Ireland's caused the biggest upset of the Cricket World Cup beating England by three wickets in Bangalore, guided to victory by Kevin O'Brien who's scored the fastest ever World Cup century.

Set 328 to win, Ireland was teetering at 111 for five when O'Brien came to the crease and struck 13 fours and six sixes to bring up his century in just 50 balls.

O'Brien made 113 as Ireland reached their target with five balls to spare and says he was always intent on chasing down the target.

Not only did he score the fastest world cup century but in reaching 328 Ireland's effort was also the highest successful run chase in a world cup match.

Four years ago in the Carriben Ireland beat Pakistan in the group stages, after which the Ireland coach Bob Woolmer was subsequently found dead in his hotel room.
