Mains impressed with Joseph's coaching of the Highlanders

The former Highlanders rugby coach Laurie Mains says current coach Jamie Joseph is showing great leadership and the hard work he put his side through in the off-season is paying dividends in the Super Rugby competition.

The Highlanders are 3 from 3 at the start of the new season, including beating the champion Bulls in Pretoria at the weekend.

Mains says Joseph, who he coached at Otago and with the All Blacks, has got all the players working on the same page....

Mains says the Highlanders loosies are playing well together and Joseph has obviously given each one of them a simple rule which they are executing superbly.
