New Zealand share third place after first round of Queen Sirikit Cup

New Zealand's in a share third place after the first round of the Queen Sirikit Cup women's golf team championship in India.

Fourteen nations from the Asia-Pacific region are competing in the the 54 hole strokeplay competition with the two best of three scores counting each day.

The New Zealand team shot a six-over par 150 for the two best counting scores on a challenging Delhi Golf Club course, to be five shots behind leaders Korea, who're chasing a fifth straight victory.

The world's third ranked amateur Lydia Ko led the way for New Zealand with a two-over par 74, while Cecilia Cho shot a four-over 76 and Waikato's Emily Perry the non-counting ten over par 82.
