The Japan Football Association still wants to host the All Whites later this month in the belief that friendly internationals could help rally the nation following the tsunami, triggered by a massive earthquake, which devastated the north-east of the country at the weekend.

The JFA's general-secretary Kozo Tashima has confirmed the matches against Montenegro on March 25, and New Zealand's game in Tokyo on the 29th of this month will go ahead.

Tashima says the New Zealand game in Tokyo will be an important for his nation as an opportunity to show the world that the nation's capital is functional, and order is being restored again.
