Tiger Woods has vowed he'll be in contention for next month's first golf major of the year, the US Masters after gaining his first top ten finish in a PGA tour event since June.

The former world number one shot a six under par 66 on the final round of the World Golf Championship event in Florida to finish tied for tenth in the tournament which was won by fellow American Nick Watney.

The 14-times major winner, who is reworking his swing, had struggled with the driver and putter during the tournament but was pleased with today's efforts.

Woods has won the Masters four times but it's been six years since his last success at Augusta.
