The New Zealand women's hockey team has won their series against Japan after winning the 5th test 2-nil on the North Shore.

New Zealand win the series 3-1, with one match drawn.

Katie Glynn scored the first goal in the 16th minute off a penalty corner and then scored again from the field just after half time.

Coach Mark Hager says it's good to have another series win, his players have learnt a lot throughout this series and no doubt will come back better next time.

Argentina arrive next week for a 3-match series.
