Holden's Garth Tander won the smash-strewn opening race at the Clipsal 500 to maintain his overall championship lead.
Tander started from pole position and led home a full Holden podium with Jamie Whincup second and Craig Lowndes third.
Fabian Coulthard was the best-placed New Zealander in fifth.
