Hammett not happy with sin-binning

The Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett isn't happy with the refereeing in their latest Super Rugby match which turned into a 41-17 hiding from the Blues.

Hammett says referee Vinnie Munroe got it wrong in sin-binning Andrew Hore, which resulted in the Blues putting on 14 points against a depeletd Hurricanes side.

Hammett says teams were told at the start of the seaon that referees would be strict on defensive breakdown infringements inside their 22s. However that isn't the issue for him - he wonders whether Hore was given fair warning before being sin-binned.

But he says they don't want to make excuses and they need to learn quickly from that ahead of the next game with the Melbourne Rebels.
