Walsh to control Crusaders match

2:33 pm on 24 March 2011

The former New Zealand referee Steve Walsh will control the Super Rugby match between the Crusaders and the Sharks at Twickenham on Monday morning.

As a result of the change in the match venue from Christchurch to London, Walsh, who refereed last weekend's Six Nations clash between Scotland and Italy in Edinburgh, will replace Garratt Williamson.

Walsh is now based in Australia.

SANZAR Game Manager Lyndon Bray says they requested the RFU to assist with the appointment of a support team for Walsh with Wayne Barnes and Stuart Terheege appointed as Assistant Referees and Dave Pearson handling the TMO duties.
