Pakistan waltz into World Cup semis

1:51 pm on 24 March 2011

Pakistan have waltzed into the World Cup cricket semi-finals after one of the shortest matches of the tournament.

Led by their captain Shahid Afridi's four wickets for 30, Pakistan dismissed the West Indies for just 112, and they reached their target at the end of the 21st over without losing a wicket.

Mohammad Afeez robbed his captain of man of the match honours with 61 runs, his maiden World Cup half century, after taking two cheap wickets with his off-spin.

In the semi-finals Pakistan will face the winners of tonight's match between the defending champions Australia and India.
