The New Zealand men's pursuit team has finished fourth at the World Track Cycling Championships in the Netherlands.
Sam Bewley, Peter Latham, Marc Ryan and Jesse Sergent qualified fourth and in the ride-off for bronze were never able to threaten Olympic champions Great Britain.
Ryan , the team's most experienced rider, says they're bitterely disappointed they couldn'dt replciate some great times in training,
Defending champions Australia were also convincing winners in the ride for gold against Russia.
The New Zealand sprint team of Sam Webster, Eddie Dawkins and Ethan Mitchell finished sixth and Joanne Kiesanowski was ninth in the points race.
