The New Zealand motor racing driver Scott Dixon has finished a disappointing 16th in the opening race of the IndyCar Series in Florida.
Dixon started third on the grid, but was involved in an opening lap collision that all but ended his challenge.
Dixon's Chip Ganassi team-mate and defending series champion Dario Franchitti won the race.
