Breakers send off Henare in style

The New Zealand Breakers produced a performance more befitting of their standing as Australian National Basketball League minor premiers, in beating Adelaide 100 to 71 on the North Shore last night.

It was the final home game of the regular season for the Breakers, who've already guaranteed the minor premiership and will play their final regular season match in Melbourne on Saturday, ahead of the playoffs.

The match also celebrated the career of Paul Henare the only player to have been with the club since its inception eight years ago and will retire at the end of the season.

Tom Abercrombie led the scoring for the home side with a career-high 26 points.
