New Zealand's Marina Erakovic is into the semi-finals of a US$25,000 Challenger tennis tournament in the United States.
Erakovic, who's now ranked 229th, will play Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia for a place in the final.
Meanwhile in Australia at the US$25,000 tournament at Ipswich, Sacha Jones lost in the quarter-finals to former top-40 player Olga Puchkova of Russia 6-4 6-0.
In the men's US$15,000 Futures tournament at the same venue Davis Cup player Michael Venus reached the semi-finals with a win over Australian Isaac Frost 6-2 6-3.
Venus will play fifth seed Erik Chvojka of Canada for a place in the final.
Fellow Davis Cup team member Marcus Daniell was beaten in the quarters by Japan's Kento Takeuchi 6-1 6-4.
