The young Parramatta league hooker Matt Keating will be sidelined for several weeks after being bitten by his dog.
22 year old Keating suffered a compound fracture of the index finger on his right hand in what he described as a playful accident with his Aussie Bulldog.
After surgery yesterday Keating said there's no damage to the nerves or tendons, but the injury will be assessed again by a specialist today.
His injury leaves the Eels with a problem at hooker, as Casey McGuire's sidelined with a calf injury.
