Otago fast bowler reminds Black Caps what they're missing out on

Almost a year to the day before he's eligible for the Black Caps, the South African born Otago fast bowler Neil Wagner has reminded the national cricket selectors what they're missing out on, equalling the first class world record for wickets in an over.

The 25 year old left armer took five wickets in an over against Wellington in a Plunket Shield match in Queenstown yesterday, with wickets on all but the fifth ball of the over.

Wellington went from 136 for four to 136 for nine in the space of six balls with Otago going on to win the match by an innings and 138 runs.

Wagner's counting down the days to April 2nd next year, when he'll have met the residency requirements and be eligible to play for New Zealand.
