Mystics beat Tactix

6:09 am on 8 April 2011

The Northern Mystics have moved back into the top four of the trans-tasman netball championship after an emphatic 58-45 victory over the Canterbury Tactix in Auckland.

The Mystics controlled the match from the opening whistle with a smothering defensive effort and slick attacking play.

The Mystics opted to rest standout shooter Cathrine Latu for the first quarter, but she then came on to sink 29 of her 32 attempts.

The match was a home game for the Tactix having been postponed from round 3 and was a fundraiser for the Canterbury earthquake appeal.

The Mystics are now third in the standings, while the Tactix remain bottom.
