Athletics New Zealand has confirmed that this year's National Cross Country championships will be held in Christchurch.
The first Christchurch earthquake in September struck just before the National Road Championships in the city, forcing their cancellation.
In announcing the July Cross Country Champs will be held at the Halswell Quarry Park course, Athletics New Zealand's Sport Manager Brett Addison says they're pleased to add their support for the earthquake-damaged city.
Athletics New Zealand has confirmed that the sport's inaugural Annual Conference will also be held in Christchurch on the same weekend.
