The Highlanders first five Colin Slade realises he's got to start showing something special if he wants to win back an All Black jersey this year.
Slade made an adequate debut for the Highlanders in their win over the Brumbies last weekend after missing the first part of the Super Rugby season after breaking his jaw, then played a key part in the Highlanders' close win over the fast-finishing Cheetahs at Carisbrook on Friday night.
Slade made his one appearance for the All Blacks as a replacement against Australia last year.
However the 23-year-old says his main priority at the moment is the Highlanders and not the World Cup.
