Crusaders set piece their key to success

7:39 am on 11 April 2011

The Crusaders turned in the most impressive display of the Super Rugby weekend as they completely outplayed the defending champion Bulls in Timaru.

The 27-nil victory keeps them top of the New Zealand conference and second overall.

The Crusaders showed outstanding skills, while their discipline meant Morne Steyn had just one shot at goal.

However coach Todd Blackadder says it's their set piece that is winning them matches....

The Queensland Reds top the overall standings after handing the Stormers their first loss, the Crusaders are second from the Stormers, the Blues, Waratahs, Sharks and Highlanders.

Meanwhile the Hurricanes will be without Aaron Cruden and Conrad Smith in South Africa... both are returning home after suffering injuries in their loss to the ACT Brumbies.
