Bruton says coming to New Zealand the right move

Just one win away from an Australian National Basketball League grand final series, Australian international CJ Bruton says his decision to join the New Zealand Breakers has been justified.

Bruton joined the Auckland team after the collapse of the Brisbane Bullets in 2008 and says he's not surprised by the minor premiers rise.

After losing the first match of their best-of-three semi-final series against defending champions Perth, the Breakers rebounded with a 93-89 win in Perth on Sunday night.

With the deciding game to be played at the North Shore Events Centre on Wednesday, Bruton's confident the Breakers can become the first New Zealand franchise to win an Australian sporting competition.
