It's not just the Hurricanes players that are going through a challenging period, assistant coach Alama Ieremia says it's their job to keep the under siege Super Rugby side focused on the right things.

The Hurricanes have just one win after seven rounds and are about to play the Cheetahs and Sharks in South Africa.

They have a new head coach in Mark Hammett who has admitted its been a difficult time for them.

However Ieremia says it's their job to make sure the players aren't just focusing on the mistakes which may deflect their focus.
