Motherwell progressed to their first Scottish Cup final in 20 years after a comprehensive 3-0 defeat of St Johnstone at Hampden.

The game was over as a contest before half-time as Motherwell raced into a three-goal lead to end St Johnstone's dreams of making their first ever final in the competition.

Rangers went top of the Scottish Premier League with a 2-1 win over St. Mirren. Rangers lead second-placed Celtic by just a point and the Hoops have a game in hand.
