The Western Force have rounded out the Super Rugby weekend with a 27-19 victory over the ACT Brumbies in Canberra last night but it wasn't enough to lift the Nathan Sharpe led side from the bottom of the Australian conference.

The Hurricanes snatched just their second win of the season early on Sunday morning in Bloemfontein with a thrilling come from behind 50 to 47 bonus point victory to climb off the foot of the New Zealand conference ahead of the Chiefs, who were the only New Zealand side not to win on the weekend beaten 34-16 by the table topping Crusaders in Mt Maunganui.

The Highlanders briefly held second spot in the New Zealand conference after their bonus point 40-18 demolition of the Rebels in Melbourne on Friday, but the Blues climbed above the men from the deep south to reclaim second place after their 31-17 win over the NSW Waratahs in Auckland on Saturday.

The Queensland Reds and South African side the Stormers remain top of their conferences with wins over the Bulls and the Lions.
