The 38-33 victory cements the Magic in second place on the competition ladder behind the unbeaten Queensland Firebirds while the Steel remain in seventh.
Also last night the Melbourne Vixens thumped the West Coast Fever 54-38 in Perth to climb to third equal with the Northern Mystics, who have the chance to move into outright third when they face the NSW Swifts in Sydney tonight.
