The New Zealand Breakers will play Cairns in the Australian National Basketball League Grand Final series after theTaipans won their game three decider in Townsville 93-83.
Game one is in Auckland on Wednesday night when the Breakers will continue their bid to become the first New Zealand team to claim an ANBL crown and a major Australian-based sporting title.
Cairns have never won the title either, and this is the first time the Taipans have made the final.
