The top seeded San Antonio Spurs have been beaten 101-98 at home by bottom qualifiers the Memphis Grizzlies in game one of their Western conference first round playoffs while the second seeded LA Lakers were stunned 109-100 by the 7th seeded New Orleans Hornets in Los Angeles.
