The Central Pulse ensured 2011 will be their most successful trans-tasman netball season yet, with a 47-45 victory over the Canterbury Tactix in Christchurch last night representing their record third win of the year.
However the win doesn't change what will be another disappointing season for the Pulse who sit third from last in the 10-team competition and well out of the playoff race.
In a see-saw encounter played at frenetic pace, the Pulse were determined not to be left holding the wooden spoon and went all-out to hold out the hapless Tactix.
They also denied Tactix coach Helen Mahon Stroud a victory in her 50th match with the side.
The Tactix are firmly rooted to the bottom of the table with just one win this season.
