Aitken hasn't made up her mind about future as Silver Ferns coach

Ruth Aitken says she hasn't made up her mind as to whether she'll stay on as Silver Ferns coach after July's netball world champs in Singapore.

Aitken has been in the role since 2001 and her current contract expires in September, by which time the Silver Ferns could be World Cup holders as well as Commonwealth Games champions.

Yesterday Aitken named the 12-strong squad she hopes can wrest the world championship from Australia but isn't giving any indication as to whether she'll step aside.

Aitken says her focus is the world champs and she'll make her mind up after that.

Should Aitken step down her likely successor would be assistant coach Waimarama Taumanu.
