Forest keep promotion hopes alive

Former double European Cup winners Nottingham Forest have kept their hopes alive of a return to English football's Premier League with a 3-2 win over local rivals Leicester.

Forest move back into the top six of the Championship and their win also pushes Leeds, who drew 0-0 with fellow promotion hopefuls Reading, out of the play-off places for the first time since November.

Scunthorpe were unable to close the gap on Crystal Palace in the race to avoid relegation from the Championship after drawing 1-1 at Coventry.

Scunthorpe remain three points from safety after fourth bottom Crystal Palace drew 0-0 at fellow strugglers Doncaster.

Doncaster stay two points above the Eagles in 20th place.
