Warriors: Brett Seymour says B-team stint a wake-up call

2:45 pm on 23 April 2011

Warriors halfback Brett Seymour says a stint in the B-team was the wake-up call he needed, and backed coach Ivan Cleary's decision to drop high profile players if they're not performing in the National Rugby League.

The Warriors have made an unconvincing start to the season, and Cleary hasn't hesitated in demoting internationals Lance Hohaia and Krisnan Inu, as well as stars like Seymour to reserve grade at different times.

The Warriors face a daunting road trip to Melbourne on Anzac Day, and Seymour, who regains his No.7 jersey this week, says it's up to the players to take responsibility for their place in the side.

He says Cleary has a tough job and he's had to make difficult decisions this season.
