The Asia football chief Mohamed Bin Hammam believes FIFA boss Sepp Blatter has been forced to come up with fresh ideas after the Qatari decided to challenge him in June's presidential election.

Bin Hamman believes his challenge has made Blatter reassess his view of football's future.

He says Blatter's coming up with fresh suggestions about how to run the game's governing body and those ideas wouldn't have have seen the light of day had there not been a challenge to his leadership.

The June vote in Zurich is expected to be close with Blatter having been in the role for 13 years.
