Injury cursed former world tennis number two back on court

The former tennis world number two Tommy Haas, has made his latest return to court aftera a 14-month injury layoff.

The 33-year-old teamed up with the Czech Republic's Radek Stepanek, losing in the doubles at the Munich claycourt tournament.

Haas last played on the tour in February last year before undergoing shoulder and hip surgery.

Haas no longer has a singles world ranking but hopes to play the Madrid and Rome Masters as well as the French Open but will need wildcards to do so.
