The New South Wales coach Chris Hickey has laughed off talk that the former French international Frederic Michalak will join the Waratahs next season as a replacement for Melbourne-bound Wallabies star Kurtley Beale.
Reports out of France overnight claimed Michalak - is set to sign for the Waratahs as his place at Toulouse is under threat with reports that the fomer All Black Luke McAlister has signed with the European champions.
But Hickey says the Waratahs have no interest in signing any marquee players for the 2012 season.
He says they still have Berrick Barnes and Daniel Halangahu and prefer to identify and develop a talented young player in Australia .
