Hooker racks up 100th game

Gold Coast's boss Michael Searle has paid tribute to Nathan Friend ahead of the departing hooker's 100th National Rugby League match for the Titans.

Friend, 30, will lead the team out against the Sydney Roosters at Skilled Park on Saturday night.

He's leaving for the Warriors next year on a three-season deal and reportedly has a frosty relationship with Searle.

But Searle still provided a warm appraisal of Friend as he prepares to become the first Titan to crack the 100-game barrier, saying he's been a big part of the club's achievements so far.
