Van Gisbergen climbs to fourth

Two more stunning drives at Perth's Barbagallo Raceway have helped the New Zealand driver Shane van Gisbergen muscle his way back up to fourth place in the 2011 V8 Supercar series points standings.

After storming his way from 16th spot on the grid to fourth at the line in the first race of the weekend on Saturday, the 21-year-old Ford flyer was once again the big mover in the field in each Sunday race.

In the first - which had to be re-started after a fiery start-line crash involving Karl Reindler and Steve Owen - he clawed his way from 20th on the grid to 10th at the chequered flag.

Then in the second he made it from 18th (after being relegated two rows by officials for allegedly slowing another competitor on their flying lap in the morning qualifying session) to seventh.
