Miami put heat on Boston

7:38 am on 6 May 2011

The Miami Heat have piled the pressure on a bruised and battered Boston by taking a 2-0 lead in their best of seven NBA basketball playoff series with a 102-91 home win.

The defending Eastern Conference champion Celtics have been hampered by a series of nagging injuries and couldn't cope with the quicker and more athletic Heat.

LeBron James scored 24 of his game-high 35 points for the Heat in the second half, while game one's standout Dwyane Wade added 28 points.

Game three's in Boston on Sunday.
