The Chiefs winger Sitiveni Sivivatu returns to the starting lineup in one of two changes for their Super Rugby clash with the Highlanders in Hamilton on Saturday night.
Sivivatu has been out with a hamstring injury.
Hika Elliott starts at hooker ahead of Aled de Malmanche.
Coach Ian Foster is still eyeing up a top-three finish in the New Zealand conference which he believes may be good enough to make the playoffs.
