The Highlanders have made one change to their starting 15 to face the Chiefs in Hamilton on Saturday, with Lima Sopoaga starting at first five in place of the injured Tony Brown.
Brown misses out on the 22 with a hamstring injury sustained in last weekend's match against the Blues.
On the reserves bench, hooker Brayden Mitchell comes back into the squad replacing Mo Schwalger, and prop Bronson Murray also comes back into the mix after an injury break.
Murray comes in for David Te Moana who has a calf injury.
